Sylvie Welsh is a senior associate in the securities and corporate law group. Her practice focuses on corporate finance, business combinations, acquisitions and dispositions, private equity transactions and corporate governance for clients in a variety of industries. Sylvie's involvement on complex and diverse files has provided her with the experience necessary to aptly identify her clients' needs. She is advising companies developing cryptocurrency exchanges and cryptocurrency mining operations and as such Sylvie works hard to stay at the forefront of the emerging fields of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
As a law student, Sylvie worked in house at a medium sized oil and gas company and obtained international experience working for a law firm in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2016, Sylvie completed a six month secondment at the Toronto Stock Exchange in Calgary.
