Randy Richard

Randy Richard is an Environmental Products Trader at Elbow River Marketing Ltd and has more than 10 years of experience trading in Environmental and Energy Markets. Since joining Elbow River in 2020, he has helped grow and expand the desk into new markets and products. Randy is now part of a three-person team that actively trades cap-and-trade markets, low carbon fuel standards, voluntary offsets, renewable energy credits and renewable natural gas. He has extensive experience in market-based greenhouse gas regulatory frameworks and has contributed to compliance strategies for both power and fuels-based companies within these markets.

Randy started his career on the east coast with Emera Energy in Halifax as a power plant marketer and later moved to Vancouver with Powerex, the energy trading arm of BC Hydro. Randy holds a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University and an Undergraduate in Physics from Mount Allison.
