Lara Gaede is a partner with Deloitte, leading the national Securities & Regulatory Advisory and Climate Sustainability Reporting and Assurance groups. Prior to joining Deloitte a little over a year ago, Lara spent twenty years with the Alberta Securities Commission, first in Corporate Finance and later as a member of the Alberta Securities Commission’s Executive team as Chief Accountant and CFO. During this time, she led a number of national projects including the recent draft securities law regarding non-GAAP Financial Measures and served a term as Chair of the CSA’s Chief Accountants Committee. For a six year term, she was also a member of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board helping to influence IFRS and set Canadian accounting standards. In addition to being a CPA, CA, Lara is a CFA and holds the ICD.d designation.
