Cameron Hughes leads the Energy Practice Group at Field Law. He has worked with private and public companies in the energy sector in Canada for 23 years. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, energy infrastructure, project finance and development, and joint ventures in the energy sector. He advises clients with respect to upstream, midstream and downstream issues, over-the-counter commodity trading, cross-border trading, energy derivatives, risk management, asset and payment securitization and credit issues.
Cameron is recognized by Chambers Global and Chambers Canada as a leading lawyer in the area of Energy: Oil and Gas (Transactional), and by Best Lawyers as a leading lawyer in Energy in Canada. He was recognized by Lexpert as one of Canada's Leading Lawyers under 40 – but that was a little while ago now!
