Description

This session is a continuing discussion from Gellert’s presentation at the 90th Annual IECA Conference last fall
about private equity owned companies. He discusses the risks associated with privately held counterparties and how to manage those risks. This is an ongoing challenge, and private equity (PE) - owned firms can be particularly complicated. The current environment of lower oil prices is creating a new dynamic in this equation. He examines how market conditions and PE firms’ motivations, positively or negatively, influence their portfolio companies. You will not want to miss Part 2 of this story in which Gellert gives us more insights into PE owned counterparties.
