Regional Education Groups
Regional Education Groups Focus on Education & Networking
The purpose of the Regional Education Groups is to help design educational programs for conferences and seminars, create more specialized communications, and bring professionals together in a particular geographical region.
Regional Groups
The Canadian Regional Education Committee (“CADREC”) is a volunteer group including a Chair, Vice-Chair and Board liaison that takes a larger roll in establishing initiatives and responsibilities for the Canadian Group throughout the year and works closely with the Executive Vice President – North America (EVP-NA) to carry-through yearly goals.
Mission/Purpose:
The Canadian Regional Education Committee promotes education and the understanding of credit risk management in relation to energy transactions in Canada including any planning for conferences, seminars, etc.
Canadian Regional Education Committee Annual Projects/Responsibilities:
- Monthly Meetings to go over initiatives and plan events moving forward throughout the year
- Actively encourage and recruit IECA member engagement and participation
- Establish annual schedule of events
- Coordinate events and activities with the EVP NA
- Create meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, and maintain posting of such on an ongoing basis
Delivery of educational content may include but is not limited to the following:
- IECA Conference sessions
- Networking opportunities and events
- Finding speakers, conference topics and networking events to enhance conference program
The European Regional Education Committee (“EREC”) is a volunteer group including a Chair, Vice-Chair and Board liaison that takes a larger roll in establishing initiatives and responsibilities for the European Group throughout the year and works closely with the Executive Vice President – Europe (EVP-Europe) to carry-through yearly goals.
Mission/Purpose:
The European Regional Education Committee promotes education and the understanding of credit risk management in relation to energy transactions in Europe including planning for conferences, seminars, etc.
European Regional Education Committee Annual Projects/Responsibilities:
- Monthly Meetings to go over initiatives and plan events moving forward throughout the year
- Actively encourage and recruit IECA member engagement and participation
- Establish annual schedule of events
- Coordinate all conference calls and or meetings
- Coordinate events and activities with EVP-Europe
- Create meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, and maintain posting of such on an ongoing basis

- Networking opportunities and events
- Finding speakers, conference topics and networking events to enhance conference programmes
The IECA United States Regional Education Group can be joined by ANY IECA member to stay in-touch with U.S. regional initiatives, events and upcoming opportunities. The U.S. Regional Education Committee (“USREC”) is a volunteer group including a Chair, Vice-Chair and Board liaison that takes a larger roll in establishing initiatives and responsibilities for the U.S. Group throughout the year and works closely with the Executive Vice President – North America (EVP NA) to carry-through yearly goals.
Mission/Purpose:
The U.S. Regional Education Group establishes the educational agenda for the U.S. region, consistent with a direction received from the Global Education Committee for the U.S. Regional and Annual Conferences and additional regional events.
