Jessica's practice focuses on the energy and commodities sector. She has more than 20 years of experience in a wide range of transactional, midstream, downstream and regulatory compliance for a variety of companies, including global investment banks, trading companies and integrated E&P companies, including matters relating to physical and financial matters relating to crude oil, condensate, refined products, natural gas, natural gas liquids and base metals.

Jessica has significant in-house, as well as external counsel, insight, particularly regarding commodity trading and finance matters.  Her experience includes transactions for the purchase and sale of commodities; structuring and negotiating crude oil and natural gas gathering, processing, transportation and storage agreements; bespoke trading agreements involving the use of industry-wide general terms and conditions as well as standardized master agreements, including the ISDA Master Agreement (and related annexes), GasEDIs, NAESBs, and related credit support, master netting agreements, and trade finance arrangements; secured and unsecured hedging and off-take arrangements; and physical commodity monetization and intermediation structures related to inventory and infrastructure.

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica was managing counsel for one of the largest mining companies in the world, where she served as the primary legal advisor to the petroleum trading and marketing unit for all Atlantic-based principal and joint venture activities. Her past in-house experiences provides her with a unique understanding of client sensitivities and expectations, both from a business and resources perspective.
