Eric Twombly is the principal of Devon Solutions LLC, established in 2014 to provide project management, fractional services and subject matter expertise on Treasury, Credit, FX, Interest Rate, Liquidity, Operating Risk and Contract management. Eric is a 25+ year commodity trading and IECA veteran, having started as a credit analyst with Phibro in 1994 after starting his career in banking at Chase Manhattan Bank. He managed credit, treasury and contract negotiation for Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy and served as Treasurer for Noble Americas Corp (Noble Group Ltd) and Sierentz Global Merchants. He established the counterparty credit risk function for Citadel Investments supporting their new natural gas trading business and was a senior credit officer at Sempra Energy Trading. He served as the Head of Finance, Treasury and Credit Risk for Six One Commodities and now under long term engagement as head of finance in the US for Maersk Oil Trading Inc.
Eric successfully completed a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Trinity College, an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School and a Graduate Certificate in Accounting from University of Phoenix. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFAI), Certified Treasury Professional (AFP), Financial Risk Manager (GARP), and a Project Management Professional (PMI).
Eric serves as the Vice Chairman of the Credit Analytics Education Group since 2017 and recently the Mentoring Program. He is a contributor on the KYC Working Group and the joint venture with the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO) on energy credit risk best practices. He moderates the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) Working Group. He was a US conference speaker in 2017 (How to Get More Credit), 2018 (The Future of the Credit Manager) and 2019 (In’s and Out’s of the ISDA CSA). Eric also serves on the boards and audit committees of Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth, Canaan NY and the CT Yankee Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Milford CT.
