Nithya Venkatesan is currently the First Vice President, Risk at Navitas Assurance Partners (Navitas). Prior to joining Navitas, Nithya worked as Senior Manager, Risk at Hess Corporation (Hess) globally.
Navitas is a managing general underwriter (MGU) that represents some of the strongest balance sheets in North America; Navitas acts as the leading conduit in between the energy markets, their broker partners and carrier partners.
Nithya has over 20 plus years of risk management experience spanning credit risk, market risk, regulatory reporting and enterprise risk. Also, she has experience with multiple commodities including natural gas, power, crude oil, refined products, natural gas liquids, emissions credits and derivatives products. Prior to Hess, Nithya has held a number risk positions at NRG Energy in various risk roles, Calpine Corporation in credit risk, etc.
Nithya is an active Board Member of CCRO (Committee of Chief Risk Officers), Executive Committee member at IECA (International Energy Credit Association) and Co-Director of the GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) Houston Chapter.
