In anticipation of returning to the Petroleum Club for in person monthly meetings in 2022, the Energy Marketing Credit Group (EMCG), would like to cordially invite you to join us as we celebrate the holidays with a networking event on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at Barcelona Tavern (501 8 Ave SW) 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (everyone is welcome to stay later).

EMCG has secured the CAVA Room which has a limited capacity of 40 attendees. Tickets for the event are as follows:

  • EMCG Members – complimentary per membership (additional guest from member company $20)
  • IECA Members $20
  • Non-Members $40

For purchased tickets, please bring CASH for tickets at the door and receipts will be provided.

The EMCG is a Canadian-based association that provides a forum for credit risk professionals to network and promote credit risk education.

***Barcelona Tavern is abiding by Alberta Health Services Restrictions Exemption Program. All patrons will need proof of vaccination via QR Code. https://covidrecords.alberta.ca/form. Per AHS masks are required in all public areas of the restaurant.

Volunteer Opportunity Spotlight

Social Media Task Force
This role is primarily focused on helping promote and grow our IECA social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and strategize new marketing for the IECA via social media. 

Why the IECA?

The IECA has been a key element to the success I have had in my career. The education groups and conferences help keep me informed of best practices and what my peers are doing to address many different aspects of energy risk. Also, the IECA has helped build my leadership skills through my involvement on the board of directors and executive committee. I most enjoy the social capital I've gained through the many opportunities the IECA offers to network at conferences and events. It is much easier to negotiate when you personally know the person on the other side of the table.
