Join the IECA on November 14th for a morning educational breakfast and networking event! Financing transactions, a cornerstone of international trade, are traditionally paper-based processes involving a significant manual element. While the past has seen limited industry uptake of initiatives to move trade finance to electronic platforms, this is likely to change with the introduction of blockchain technology, which promises to improve the transparency and efficiency of trade finance transactions.

Please join us for a seminar in which we will discuss the latest developments in blockchain-based trade finance, their implications for the finance, commodity and shipping industries, and the attendant legal challenges. The session will be of interest to those in the technology, finance and legal sectors and will offer a cross-disciplinary discussion forum and networking opportunity for stakeholders.

The IECA has been a key element to the success I have had in my career. The education groups and conferences help keep me informed of best practices and what my peers are doing to address many different aspects of energy risk. Also, the IECA has helped build my leadership skills through my involvement on the board of directors and executive committee. I most enjoy the social capital I've gained through the many opportunities the IECA offers to network at conferences and events. It is much easier to negotiate when you personally know the person on the other side of the table.
