As sustainability becomes increasingly important, organizations are seeking new production and consumption models that deliver long-term, sustainable growth. A circular economy strategy can optimize resources, reduce the consumption of raw materials, and recover waste by recycling or reusing it as new products.

James Gutherie and Kapil Gupt will discuss the new energy value chain and share practical insights for leveraging the opportunities that exist and bringing the circular economy to the oil and gas sector. Topics they’ll cover include:

  • bp’s Net Zero Ambition – why this 100-year-old company needs to change to be sustainable
  • Tracking the Ambition – the 10 aims that bp has set in support of the Net Zero Ambition and how to use Digital to track them
  • The sustainability journey at bp through the lens of how the company is working with its IT suppliers to improve Circularity in the supply chain

This role is primarily focused on helping promote and grow our IECA social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and strategize new marketing for the IECA via social media.

The one thing Louise echoes to IECA members is you have to make time to invest in YOURSELF. There are many challenges in life and the "right time" may seem as though it never comes. The reality is there is rarely a "right time"; there will likely always be something in your way. Taking initiative and having confidence you can handle what comes is instrumental in personal and professional success! The IECA has many ways to help support your development through online resources, volunteering, networking and mentoring. The time is now to invest in the greatest asset you have, YOURSELF!
