Description

As part of the IECA's Credit Risk Management Certification Program (CRMCP), this three-day seminar is designed for Beginner/Intermediate level energy professionals in credit and risk management. Seasoned professionals will also appreciate the refresher course due to ever-changing regulations. The seminar will include breakout sessions where attendees will explore selected issues from the perspective of diverse industry participants. This training course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the rating practices employed by Moody's Investors Service for assessing corporate credit risk, from rating methodologies and financial ratios to a rating committee simulation. This course is designed as a basic/intermediate level course, with an underlying goal to improve the participants use and interpretation of ratings in their day-to-day work.

The course will begin on  June 21, 2023 at 9:00am - 5:00pm Central Time.  Breakfast and Lunch will be served for the three days of the course. Attendance for the full three days is required. The course will be  highly interactive and requires your full attention. There will be breaks during each session.

Upon completion of this e-Learning program, participants will be able to:

  • Gain insight into the credit rating process of Moody's Investors Service
  • Apply a structured approach to corporate credit assessment
  • Calculate and interpret key financial ratios used in the credit rating process
  • Understand the concepts behind alternative measures of risk, such as market implied signals, and their use in credit analysis

Completion of this course meets one of the requirements for the CRMCP.

Program Level: Beginner/Intermediate
PrerequisitesTwo years’ experience in a credit-related function or attendance at the Fundamentals of Credit Risk Analysis seminar or distance learning program.
Who Should Attend: Credit Analysts, Credit Managers, Treasury Analysts and Risk Managers.
Advance Preparation: No advanced preparation is required.
Time Commitment: Each day, the course will begin at 9 a.m. and will end at 5 p.m. Travel arrangements should be made with this in mind, attendees should not schedule their return flights before 5pm on June 23rd.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: June 14, 2023.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds for cancellation will be granted provided IECA is notified in writing by June 14, 2023. A cancellation processing fee of $50.00 will be assessed.
