Description

As part of the IECA's Credit Risk Management Certification Program (CRMCP), the Concepts of Credit & Liquidity Analysis two-day course is designed to give a broad grounding in credit and an introduction to liquidity analysis. This training proceeds methodically through the stages of credit risk assessment, debt and liquidity analysis of both investment and non-investment-grade debt, and the assessment and development of transaction structures. The course is presented in an interactive format, using public companies and examples with current relevance.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Review financial statements and apply analysis methodologies to assess a debt transaction
  • Understand the risks inherent in structures and levels of seniority
  • Anticipate and respond effectively to problems of financial distress

Credits: This course meets one of the required CRMCP elective courses and qualifies for CPE.

Program Level: Intermediate

Prerequisites: Two years’ experience in a credit-related function or attendance at the Fundamentals of Corporate Credit seminar or distance learning program.

Who Should Attend: Credit Analysts, Credit Managers, Treasury Analysts and Risk Managers.

Advance Preparation: No advanced preparation is required.

Time Commitment: Each day, the course will begin at 9 a.m. and will end at 5 p.m. Travel arrangements should be made with this in mind.
