Please join us for an exciting and informative IECA educational and networking event in Calgary, Alberta on February 9th. Our expert panel of speakers from BP, Cenovus and Suncor will lead an interactive discussion on commodity GTC’s related to crude and gas. The session will provide a brief overview of agreements, compare and contrast contracting terms, highlight common pitfalls, discuss negotiation challenges, and provide insight on emerging issues affecting GTCs. Following the panel discussion, the KYC presentation will help attendees understand key compliance risks associated with counterparties in international transactions, including consideration of trade sanctions, anti-money laundering and anti-corruption issues. The sessions will be followed by a networking reception and dinner.

Social Media Task Force
This role is primarily focused on helping promote and grow our IECA social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and strategize new marketing for the IECA via social media. 

Why the IECA?

My IECA membership has helped my career in a number of ways, although most notably 1) building networks to help find a job in a new city and state and 2) helping to stay apprised of best practices in Risk. I would recommend joining based on networking and meeting counterparts to help to build trusted relationships and career growth.
