32nd European Regional Education Group Conference

The European Regional Education Committee are delighted to warmly welcome delegates and guests to the 32nd IECA Annual European Conference here in Budapest  

This year has seen a change in the format of the event with networking opportunities on Monday afternoon and a later finish on Tuesday. These changes have been made with the intention of ensuring that you all benefit from the educational content as well as having ample opportunity for networking with peers and to explore the beautiful city of Budapest.

The agenda is full of first class speakers, all with a wealth of knowledge and experience in their fields of expertise.  We are fortunate in having two keynote speakers this year: a return for Professor Sir Chris Llewellyn Smith, Former Director General of CERN, Director of Energy Research at Oxford University and Fellow of The Royal Society. The second keynote speaker is Constanze v. Rheinbaden A, President and Founder of Rich Impact Speaking.

The programme covers topics that we trust you will find both interesting and relevant to the industry and will provide everybody with an insight into the challenges being faced in the industry today. As always the educational aspects of the event go alongside the networking opportunities that are available to all delegates throughout the Conference.

The IECA European Educational Foundation Scholarship continues to be well supported at the various events held throughout the year. The financial support that this provides gives a student the opportunity to attend St Catherine’s College, Oxford University. Our main goal is to ensure there is an on-going scholarship available to a deserving student on an annual basis. Since the Scholarship’s inception, the amount raised is just short of £46,000 thanks to the generosity of both corporate and individual donations.

The raising of funds from your kind generosity is a never-ending process to ensure we can sufficiently fund the Scholarship to continue the good work so we will be running another fund-raising event during the conference in Budapest.
