Conference Cancellation Statement

Dear Attendees of IECA’s 100th Annual Conference –

As you know, we were heartbroken to cancel the 100th Annual Conference after the hard work put in by our volunteers and staff. However, we do plan to celebrate this incredible milestone in 2025 (details forthcoming).

Many of you have asked how registration will be returned to attendees. We currently manage all our paid registration events through Cvent.  The system maintains all our registration records and subsequent payments.

After consulting with our attorney and reviewing our cancellation insurance policy, we have decided on the following:

• Member attendees: Registration fees, golf fees (including the club rental, if applicable), the beach networking event, and yoga on the beach fees will be automatically credited (in USD) to your IECA Cvent profile which is associated with the email you used to register for the conference. This means, as you register for future events, the registration fee will be deducted from your Cvent profile credit balance until it is depleted.
  • • If you would prefer a full refund instead, you must notify us by emailing info@ieca.net by 11/27/2024.
• Non-member attendees: Registration fees, golf fees (including the club rental, if applicable), the beach networking event, and yoga on the beach fees will be automatically credited (in USD) to your IECA Cvent profile. This means, as you register for future events, the registration fee will be deducted from your Cvent profile credit balance until it is depleted.
  • • The membership dues included with the non-member registration will be credited through 2025 membership year and will not be refunded.  This will allow you to register for all 2025 events at the member rate (including the 2025 Annual Conference in San Diego, CA).
    • If you would prefer a full refund of registration fees and/or membership dues, you must notify us by emailing info@ieca.net by 11/27/2024.
• Guests and Special Rate Attendees: All guest and special rate registrations fees, golf fees (included club rental, if applicable), the beach networking event, and yoga on the beach fees will be refunded (in USD) directly to your original method of payment.
• Sponsors: Please expect an email from Heather Buerger for details on how sponsorships will be handled.
  • • Sponsorship attendees: If your registration fee was part of your company’s sponsorship or a special program, but you paid for any other events such as golf fees (including the club rental, if applicable), the beach networking event, and yoga on the beach, these fees will be credited (in USD) to your IECA Cvent profile, wish is associated with the email you used to register for the conference.  This means, as you register for future events, the registration fee will be deducted from your Cvent profile credit until it is depleted.
    • If you would prefer a refund of any of these registration fees, you must notify Heather Buerger at hbuerger@icea.net by 11/27/2024.

We will begin processing the credits on 12/2/2024, please respond as soon as possible if you want to opt out of the credit in full or part.  These credits will not be available for use until mid-December.
