David has been in the energy industry for over 17 years. His working career started in banking before moving to BP in 1987. David has held a number of positions within BP and has been in his current role of Credit Manager for BP Oil International Limited since early 1992. David has been an active member of the IECA since 1992 serving on the European committee as well as being its Chairperson for 5 years. He also served on the IECA Board of Directors during the period from 1996 to 1998, a role that he enjoyed immensely. David has been married to Judy for 22 years and has two teenage daughters. He likes traveling and enjoys playing golf in his spare time, when the weather and family allow!
Harry G. Wijsman, First Vice President
EnCana Corporation
Harry is a Credit and Financial Risk Management professional with 25 years of Energy Industry experience. His early career includes positions of increased responsibilities in the downstream credit departments of Gulf Canada Resources Ltd. and PetroCanada Inc. During the last several years, he has held management positions in the upstream credit departments of PanCanadian Petroleum Limited and EnCana Corporation. Harry is currently the Director of Corporate Credit in the Financial Risk Management department of EnCana Corporation, one of the world’s leading independent oil & gas companies and North America’s largest independent natural gas producer and storage operator. Harry graduated from the University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario in 1980, with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Business Administration) and a Certificate in Personnel Management. Harry has served on the Board of Directors of the IECA for the past several years, as well as several Officer positions. He is currently the First Vice President of this Association.
David Yi, Past President
Geary Energy
David is the Chief Credit Officer for Geary Energy, LLC since 2003. Prior to his employment at Geary, David was Chief Credit Officer at Cook Inlet Energy Supply located in Los Angeles, California since 1993. David has been active in the International Energy Credit Association (“IECA”) since 1995 serving as Chairman of the Gas Liquids and Electricity Committee as well as the Technology Committee. David also served on the Board of Directors and as President in 2004. David is married to Young Sun and has one daughter, Esther.
Kevin Belknap
Koch Industries, Inc.
Kevin is the Director of Credit for Koch Supply & Trading, LP responsible for global credit management of oil, products and metals trading activities in Wichita, Houston, London and Singapore. He began is career at Koch Industries in October of 1979 and has held various accounting, credit, trading and project roles since. Kevin graduated from Wichita State University in 1979 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Currently, he is serving as Vice President for the IECA and has chaired several committees since he joined the Association in 1985.
Deniese Palmer-Huggins
Prudential Financial
Deniese recently joined Prudential in Houston to continue to expand its focus on the energy industry as it opens its OTC trading operation. She received her BA with highest honors in 1977 from the University of Texas at Austin and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa the same year. She began her career in 1980 at Banque Paribas, Houston financing domestic and international energy trading companies. In 1983, she joined the Finance department of Transworld Oil, a large international energy trading and marketing firm. In 1985, she participated in Transworld’s transition team when it purchased Arco’s refining and marketing assets in Philadelphia and formed Atlantic Refining and Marketing. In 1986, she was promoted to Treasurer of Transworld (USA) Inc. In 1992, she joined Bayoil (USA), Inc. as its Treasurer and Manager of its offshore company, Bayoil SA, a crude oil marketing firm which sourced crude oil and refined products in the Black Sea, Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the U.S. In 1997, she joined the New York Mercantile Exchange as Director of its newly formed Houston office representing the energy exchange in the energy capital. In 2002, she opened a Houston office for Carr Futures to market exchange traded derivatives.
Edward Veith

Ed received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1973 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and is a Certified Public Accountant, State of Louisiana. He began his career in 1974 with The First National Bank of Commerce in New Orleans, Louisiana as an accountant. In 1975, he was promoted to Assistant Controller and Assistant Treasurer. In 1978 he joined The Louisiana Land & Exploration Company (LL&E), a large independent exploration and production company, where he served as Credit Manager. In 1992 he served as President of the Southeastern Petroleum Credit Association. In 1997 LL&E was merged with Burlington Resources, located in Houston, Texas. Burlington Resources ranks among the world's largest independent oil and gas companies, and holds one of the industry's leading positions in North American natural gas reserves and production. At Burlington, he continued his credit responsibilities and was also made responsible for the Risk Management control function of the company’s derivatives hedging program.
