IECA EDUCATION
The IECA has several Education Groups that Regular and Allied Members may participate in to meet education and networking needs. The Education Groups center around industry type and international regions.
Commercial Credit Group (CCG)
This credit group promotes the education and understanding of credit management in relation to commercial credit transactions, including asphalt transactions and product responsibility from the refinery gate to the consumer. The credit group meets semi-annually: every fall during the IECA Annual Conference and again during the Spring Educational Conference held in the United States. Allied Members may participate in CCG activities.
Crude Oil and Refined Products Credit Group (CORPS)
The IECA Crude Oil and Refined Products Credit Group was organized in 1981 and represents over 100 companies throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. The CORPS Committee publishes reports semi-annually to assist members in obtaining references on specific companies. The CORPS Credit Group meets semi-annually: every fall during the IECA Annual Conference and again during the Spring Educational Conference held in the United States. These meetings also serve as a way to meet and network with your peers in the industry. Allied Members may participate in CORPS Credit Group activities. Gas, Liquids & Electricity Credit Group (GLE)
The IECA Gas, Liquids & Electricity Credit Group was organized in 1986, under the original name of the Exploration and Production Credit Group. In 1992, the focus of the group, and hence the name, was changed to "Natural Gas & Gas Liquids Credit Group" to represent companies in the natural gas and gas liquids industry. With the changing nature of the oil and gas business and the deregulation of electricity, the name was again changed in 1997. The group currently represents over 150 companies throughout the United States and Canada. The GLE Credit Group meets semi-annually: every fall during the IECA Annual Conference and again during the Spring Educational Conference held in the United States. The GLE Benchmarking Survey provides member participants a tool to measure the effectiveness of their respective credit areas when compared to industry norms. The survey is issued annually to participating group members, who are encouraged to submit their completed surveys to the IECA. The consolidated survey results are then reported to members during the conference meetings. Canadian Credit Group
The Canadian Credit Group promotes the education and understanding of credit management in relation to energy transactions in Canada. In addition, they monitor Canadian Legislation and regulatory proposals. The Canadian Credit Group conducts annual conferences held in Calgary, Alberta in late Spring/early Summer and also hosts a membership dinner in November. European Division
